At VoiceNation, our purpose is to make the world a better place and Earth Day is one way we can raise awareness of global issues and support environmental protection. Our 2013 Earth Day Contest was created for VoiceNation staff members to recognize Earth Day by expressing their personalities through innovative and creative projects. We want to show the world how influential we are!

Earth Day ContestOur staff members have been working hard to build, make, and salvage reusable material to create what he or she thinks is “most innovative”.

To celebrate Earth Day on Monday, April 22nd, we have posted a photo gallery of our VoiceNation staff members exhibiting their clever, wacky, and eco-friendly Earth Day creations. We want YOU to vote for your favorite, “most innovative” idea! To show our appreciation for your vote and support, one random lucky voter will win the Grand Prize of a $500 Home Depot Gift Card!

Voting begins April 22nd and ends April 26th. Make sure you vote today! We will be giving away 1st Place, 2nd Place, and 3rd Place prizes to our winning staff members as well! (They deserve a little something, too.) Our winners will be announced on our blog and notified by email on Monday, April 29th! Rules: Employees and family members of VoiceNation are not eligible to win the Grand Prize.

Earth Day

Here’s the final collection of the creative projects submitted by our staff. Now, here they are in full detail:

Amanda

Description: Tiered cupcake stand made with “recycled” old plates.

 

Description: Front door wreath decorated with recyclables such as aluminum cans, water bottles, and left over ribbon.

 

Caitlin

Description: Old shirt cut and sewn into a tote bag.

 

Camille

Description: Garden tea light display made from brick, glass, and rocks.

 

Erin

Description: Gift bows and tissue paper made from old magazines.

 

Josh

Description: Kiln-fired wine bottle converted to a candle plate or cheese and cracker tray.

 

Joyce

Description: A wall hanging made up entirely of recycled materials, all found in the office/ home trash bins and one found as roadside litter, and a few photos.

 

Kendrick

Description: Portable eco-friendly trashcan for your vehicle, made from a recycled cleaning wipe container.

 

Leslyn

Description: Boudoir jewelry holder.

 

Sheila

Description: Reused coffee maker becomes a gold fish tank. Just fill with water, add rocks and a plant of your choice.
