It’s been an exciting month at VoiceNation! From celebrating the arrival of Spring, to launching the second quarter of our Get in the Game series, to meeting up with one of our legal clients, we’ve been busy, but we’ve had a lot of fun. Here’s a glimpse of of what went on behind the scenes at VN in April.
Our Culture Crew does an outstanding job implementing fun and exciting activities to keep our call center atmosphere upbeat. To celebrate the arrival of Spring and the Easter holiday, we had an Easter egg hunt and coloring contest this month. There were over 150 eggs hidden in nearly every area of the office, and each egg contained a point value. Employees utilized their breaks, lunches, and even trips to the bathroom to quickly search for eggs and earn points. Our Culture Crew had to be very stealthy hiding the eggs because our call center is open 24/7 and someone is always watching. Our employees had a lot of fun frantically searching for the elusive eggs before their breaks were over. The coloring contest was also a lot of fun! We love coloring around here. Not only does it remind us of our childhoods, but studies show that it is a great stress reliever. We had Easter coloring sheets available, and the employees that completed them received points. The Culture Crew chose the top 10, and the entire company voted on the winner, who received even more points!
Something that has become a holiday tradition at VoiceNation is station decorating. Cubicles can be boring, so why not create a giant paper mache egg for your station to liven things up? Employees get an opportunity to tap into their creative sides and turn drab cubicles into works of art. They utilize their down time to cut, color, and create their masterpieces. It is always amazing to see what they come up with. This time around they had to come up with a Spring/Easter theme for their stations. They received points for decorating, and a winner was chosen by popular vote to receive additional points.
Points, points, and more points! At the beginning of the year we launched our Staff Development series “Get in the Game.” Quarter one went out with a bang, but April saw the beginning of quarter two. Our employees are more fired up than ever, and the stakes have never been higher. Every week during our Staff Development lesson, a few lucky attendants are drawn to compete in a minute-to-win-it game for an opportunity to win points. The environment is always electric as everyone is waiting in anticipation to find out who will be chosen, and teammates of the chosen few cheer them on. Another fun aspect of Staff Development Fridays are dress-up days. In April we have had a Disney dress-up day and a team-spirit day, and those who dress up receive points. After adding up all of the earned points throughout the month, we display the rankings on our Hall of Fame board. Of course, employees are always ready to bring on the [friendly] smack talk once rankings are released.
This month our team also got the opportunity to meet and interview one of our very own customers, The Lee Firm LLC. We loved getting to hear how VoiceNation makes a difference at his business. It’s truly rewarding hearing feedback from our customers and makes what we do so worth it to know we are helping other businesses reach their full potential.
