Happy Father’s Day to all the dads that have been our first heroes!

Dads have one of the hardest jobs in the world if you really think about it…. I mean how many times did they try to get you to stop crying when you were a baby and then mom would come and take you and you’re instantly content? Then, if you’re a boy they have to let you fall and get hurt so that they can toughen you up and make you a “man.” If you’re a girl, then they spend half of the time worrying about if they are going to be the best example of a man so that one day you choose a good partner because that’s what you saw exemplified.

Dads are our best friends, our role models, the ones who always know what to say even if we don’t want to hear it, always provide for us even if it means long hours, always protects us, always remember to change our oil (okay maybe just mine on this one), and one of my favorites, they keep us laughing at all of their “funny” jokes.

In Their Words

For Father’s Day around the office, I asked a couple of our team members to send me a quote about what being a dad to them means and here is what they had to say:

VoiceNation Fathers Day - Josh

“Being a dad to me is being a mentor to my boys, a teacher, an adventure guide, a jokester, a challenger, and most of all a warm hug when needed most. It’s an awesome responsibility but I was blessed with an amazing father myself so it’s only natural to want to continue the legacy.” —Josh

VoiceNation Fathers Day - Chris

“Being a father is a constant battle between, setting the example I want my daughter to follow, teaching her the things I think she should know, and hiding the fact that I am making all of this up as I go.” — Chris

VoiceNation Fathers Day - Marcus

“Being a father to me means selflessness. It means putting my sons life before my own.” —Marcus

As you celebrate Father’s Day this year, remember what all your dad has done, does, and will do for you and show him that you are grateful for him because at the end of the day that makes them feel like they are doing something right more than anything in the world.

Happy Father’s Day to all the amazing dads out there from the VoiceNation Team!!!!
