HAPFV was formed in November 2009 to combat the chronic homelessness and unemployment exclusive to the nation's veterans. The organization provides clean and safe living facilities for veterans in transition within the Coachella Valley area of Southern California. Efforts to improve the quality of life for ‘at-risk’ veterans include free administrative assistance, transportation, and professional attire for job interviews. Currently, HAPFV is dedicating part of its resources towards informing the public about the importance of ensuing that 100,000 annually receive the opportunity to utilize their guaranteed Educational Entitlements for approved business and entrepreneurial opportunities.
All HAPFV staff members are employed outside of the non-profit organization leaving no full-time or dedicated receptionist within the organization to answer the phone. When calls go unanswered, opportunities to connect with the public in effort to raise awareness decrease.
