On Monday, October 13, 2008, one month after Hurricane Ike made landfall on Galveston Island, Help4Galveston.org announces the launch of the Repair, Restore and Rebuild initiatives that will include Volunteer, Donations, Assistance and Communications coordination.
Help4Galveston.org is a collective group of local, state, regional and national agencies, businesses, organizations, communities and individuals working together to help the city and county of Galveston, TX repair, restore and rebuild. With the support of GoDaddy.com and VoiceNation.com, Help4Galveston.org has information available through the www.Help4Galveston.org website or by calling the Help4Galveston.org Hotline: 1 (888) 425-5439.

Volunteer – The Volunteer Reception Center (VRC) is located at Galveston City Hall, 823 Rosenberg, Galveston, TX 77553. The VRC may be contacted at (409) 797-3710 or (888) 425-5439 ext. 1.

Donate – Those who wish to make financial contributions may make their tax deductible donation payable to the Galveston Recovery Fund. Checks may be mailed to Galveston Recovery Fund, 4700 Broadway, Galveston, TX 77550. Those who wish to donate goods are encouraged to send an email to donate@help4galveston.org or call our hotline: 1 (888) 425-5439 ext. 2 to be connected to the Donation Call Center.

Assistance – Assistance is available for Galveston County residents and affected organizations. For assistance, please email help@help4galveston.org or call the Help4Galveston.org Hotline: 1 (888) 425-5439 ext. 3.

Communication Infrastructure – Help4Galveston.org is offering all Galveston County organizations (private and public) communication infrastructure support.
